A spokesperson for Petra Kvitova has said that she is ‘on track’ to make her return at Wimbledon – but will wait until the ‘last minute’ to make a decision on competing at the French Open.
The 27 year-old has been out of the game after falling victim to a knife attack at her home in December. Following the attack, she had extensive surgery to repair the tendons and nerves in her left – playing – hand.

The Czech star had originally hoped to be fit in time for the French Open. However, with that event less than five days away it now appears more likely that she will make her return during the grass court swing.
Kvitova won Wimbledon in 2011 and 2014, and has previously reached world No.2. She will return to the Tour with a protected ranking.
The Championships, Wimbledon will start on Monday 3rd July.
