Petra Kvitova is looking to conclude an incredible year on tour at the Fed Cup final in Prague.

Kvitova, who started the year ranked No.27 and finished at No.7, won the most tournaments of any player on the WTA tour, including a momentous title in her home country in Prague.

She headlines an impressive Czech team against the United States for this weekend’s tie.

World No.31 Katerina Siniakova, 33rd-ranked Barbora Strycova and top-ranked doubles player Barbora Krejcikova – co-ranked No.1 with Siniakova – make up the rest of the Czech team, while the Americans will line up with No.36 Danielle Collins, No.52 Sofia Kenin, No.63 Alison Riske and 15th-ranked doubles player Nicole Melichar.

“We are happy to play the final in Prague. We have a great team. We’ve had so many successes during the year so it will be great,” Kvitova told Martina Navratilova on the WTA’s In Conversation series.

“[Prague Open final] was an amazing match. Playing in front of the home crowd is always very special. It’s different compared to Fed Cup…to hold the trophy in Prague was really special.”
