Finally! After years of watching coaches wander on to court and say nothing particularly insightful or understandable, the WTA has produced a genuinely watchable piece of on-court coaching experience. Admittedly, Yulia Putintseva’s tete-a-tete with coach Roman Kislyanskiy is probably not what the powers that be had in mind when they introduced on-court coaching back in the day. But it was infinitely more watchable than the match itself, and has also garnered a truck load more views.
