Video footage from a police officer’s body camera has emerged following a car accident involving Venus Williams.
The officer on the scene is heard telling Williams she violated a driver’s right of way in the collision, but that he understood she was “caught in the middle.”
Williams had entered an intersection on a green light but said she was unable to clear it due to other traffic ahead of her.
The accident occurred on 9 June, just a few weeks before Williams played at Wimbledon. The person in the passenger seat of other car died two weeks after the collision.
