Tomas Berdych has fired former coach Goran Ivanisevic. The world No.14 issued a short statement on social media to confirm that the pair had parted ways after less than a year of working together:
Goran and I will not be working together anymore. I enjoyed the ride and we will remain great friends. Wish him all the best in the future and I am committed to go after my goals with current team.

Berdych teamed up with Ivanisevic in August 2016. However, the Czech star has struggled for form since the pair started working together, and seen his ranking slip from No.8 to No.14 – the first time he has fallen outside the world’s top 10 since 2010.
The most recent disappointment came at the French Open, where Berdych was beaten in straight sets by Russian Karen Khachanov.
Former Wimbledon champion Ivanisevic had previously worked with Marin Cilic, helping to guide the Croat to the 2014 US Open title.
