Reigning WTA Coach of the Year Sascha Bajin has joined Kristina Mladenovic’s team.
The Frenchwoman confirmed their partnership on Instagram.
Bajin is a former long-term hitting partner of Serena Williams, and also has experience working with Caroline Wozniacki, Victoria Azarenka and Sloane Stephens.
The 34-year-old German began coaching Naomi Osaka last season, guiding her to the US Open title. After winning Australian Open 2019 and rising to No.1, Osaka stunned the tennis world in February when she announced her split with Bajin.

Bajin was spotted working with Mladenovic in Miami in March, where the Frenchwoman described Bajin as a ‘family friend’.
Mladenovic is currently ranked No.3 in doubles and looking to restore her singles ranking. The 25-year-old broke into the world’s top 10 in singles in October 2017, but has since slipped to No.66 in the rankings. The two-time Grand Slam singles quarterfinalist has been primarily coached by her mother, who is a former professional volleyball player, in recent years.
