The 18-time Grand Slam champion made the announcement on his social media channels today.
The in-form world No.4 will team up with Gates in a one-set exhibition match in the American city of Seattle on April 29 to raise money to support children’s education in Africa. They will compete against American star John Isner and a yet-to-be announced celebrity partner.
Federer and Isner will also play a best-of-three sets singles match as part of the Match for Africa 4 exhibition.
It is the fourth charity tennis event the Roger Federer Foundation has run.
