Angelique Kerber’s rise to the top of the tennis world has been nothing short of meteoric. Kerber, who booked a place in her third Grand Slam final of the year with a US Open semifinal win over Caroline Wozniacki, knocked Serena Williams off the top spot after a record-equalling 186 weeks for the American at the top.
