The Bryan Brothers, the most successful team in the history of doubles, have announced that they are splitting from their long-term coach David “Macca” Macpherson.
The Brothers made the announcement in a short post on their Facebook page.
“It comes with great difficulty in announcing that after 11 years our coaching relationship with David “Macca” Macpherson has come to an end,” Bob and Mike said. “Mike and I are extremely grateful for not only his loyal friendship, but for his tireless effort and dedication to our careers.”
Since teaming up with Macpherson, the Bryan Brothers have dominated the men’s game. They have won every Grand Slam doubles title on multiple occasions, won Gold at the London 2012 Olympics, and completed a unique ‘Golden Masters’ – securing doubles titles at every ATP Masters 1000 title. Between them, they have also set the record for the most number of weeks at No.1, amassing 438 in total.
