WTA players get shiny, white teeth

Genie Bouchard's teeth will be protected and clean.
Genie Bouchard and the rest of the WTA will have fantastic teeth from now on, after the WTA signed a deal with Colgate.

Want better teeth? Play tennis.

Like a freshly gargled mouth, that is the message wafting out of the WTA this morning with the news that they have signed a deal with Colgate toothpaste.

Why toothpaste? Because teeth and tennis both start with T, giving the deal a nice alliterative angle. But tennis players also need teeth, and WTA players are famous for their happy, smiley antics on court. And, of course, Colgate were willing to front up some $$$ (and presumably tubes of toothpaste).

Oh, and it gave the toothpaste brand a chance to stick their product next to Genie Bouchard’s head.
