Dominika Cibulkova has completed a perfect preparation for Wimbledon with a victory in the final of the Aegon International Eastbourne.
The Slovakian, seeded 12th, defeated No.10 seed Karolina Pliskova 7-5 6-3 to capture the first grasscourt title of her career.
Earlier in the tournament, Cibulkova upset top seed Agnieszka Radwanska after trailing by a set and a break.

“This is a very happy time, I won my first title on grass,” she said.
“I’m so happy, I cannot believe that it happened today. I played well today in difficult (windy) conditions for both of us.”
“This has been such a great week, this is my second time here and I’ll be back for many more years. I’m happy to win the title at least once.”
Cibulkova now heads to Wimbledon where she was a quarterfinalist in 2011.
She is projected to return to the top 20 after her success on the English coast, rising to world No.18.
