And the event occurred at a crucial juncture of the match – Vinci had a set point against Turkey’s Cagla Buyukakcay before the uninvited guest decided to join them on court.

Nevertheless, Vinci managed to gather herself, run out the game, and complete a 7-5 6-1 victory.
