Junior star Whitney Osuigwe profiled on Trans World Sport

Star-in-the-making Whitney Osuigwe has seen her profile soar a notch after featuring on a recent edition of Trans World Sport.

The 15-year-old American enjoyed a banner 2017 season on the ITF junior circuit, winning at Roland Garros and also the prestigious Eddie Herr and Orange Bowl junior events later in the year.

She peaked at world No.1 in October and remains in top spot.

As reported on Tennis Life: “Many of the tennis’s future stars have gotten the ‘Trans World Sport’ treatment – prospects hyped as the next great ones. The latest is 15-year-old American Whitney Osuigwe.

“Among former subjects are Roger Federer, Maria Sharapova, Rafael Nadal, Novak Djokovic, Serena and Venus Williams – all bonafide superstars.”

Osuigwe is the daughter of Nigerian former tennis pro and now IMG Academy coach Desmond Osuigwe.
