This week’s edition of the Friday Five takes a look at the many exotic tennis trophies on tour.

I can’t say for certain, but I’m pretty sure that thing is big enough for Dominika Cibulkova to bathe in.

How has this trophy not caused a serious player injury yet? The tournament has been running since ’68 and not one eye gouge! Points for making the player bend awkwardly in every photo op.

3. Mexican Open

Tournament planning committee: Okay, so we have a number of ideas, but I think you’re really gonna love this one.

Tournament director: Shoot.

Tournament planning committee: A giant silver pear.

Tournament director: Hm. It’s abstract —  but not tennis-y enough.

Tournament planning committee: What if we lodge a gold tennis ball in the front?

Tournament director: Maybe…

Tournament planning committee: …And we make the winner wear a black sombrero.

Tournament director: Done.
