Martina Hingis glittering career got yet another boost with the “Swiss Miss” returning to world No.1 in doubles.
Hingis first topped the doubles rankings as a 17-year-old back in 1998, the year she swept all four Grand Slam doubles titles.
Now, following her victory at the weekend in Wuhan with Yung-Jan Chan, she rises to world No.1 yet again at age 37.

It is her 67th week at the summit, tying her with Czech Jana Novotna – the player she won three of those major doubles titles with in 1998.
Hingis and Chan have won eight WTA titles this year, the biggest being the US Open in September. The duo also won at Indian Wells, Madrid, Rome and Cincinnati.
