Roger Federer has confirmed he will play in Shanghai and Basel before concluding his season at the ATP Finals in London.
The Swiss superstar may also play the Paris Masters – but said he would choose Basel ahead of Paris if he decided he couldn’t play both.
The world No.2 was most recently sighted on court at the inaugural Laver Cup last week, following his quarterfinal loss at the US Open.
He has played just 10 tour-level tournaments in 2017 – plus the Hopman Cup and Laver Cup – as he maintains a selective schedule.
The Shanghai Masters begins on 7 October.
