Novak Djokovic and Andre Agassi will continue working together in 2018 when the Serb returns to action following an injury-induced hiatus.

Andre Agassi will remain as Novak Djokovic’s head coach when the Serb returns to action next year.

Yet there will be some changes to Djokovic’s entourage when he re-emerges on the circuit.

“We can confirm that Agassi remains the head coach while Italian Marco Panichi will take over as the fitness coach and Argentine Ulises Badio is the new physio,” Djokovic’s team revealed in a statement.

“The only remaining issue is appointing a second coach and that will complete the staff accompanying Djokovic in 2018.”

SMASH DEBATE: who would win a mixed Laver Cup?

Djokovic has not played since a quarterfinal loss at Wimbledon, deciding to cut short his 2017 season to rehabilitate a long-term elbow injury.

He is expected to return to action at Australian Open 2018.

It was reported he is continuing to nurse the injury while he undertook fitness training in Belgrade.

“He is working hard to get started with tennis practice as soon as possible in order to meet his own expectations of making a comeback in Australia in 2018,” the statement said.
