Serena introduces world to Alexis Olympia Ohanian Jr.

Serena Williams and partner Alexis Ohanian have shared the first pictures of their baby daughter, almost two weeks after Williams gave birth.

The couple have named their girl Alexis Olympia Ohanian Jr., sharing photos on their social media channels.

Williams remained inactive on her social media accounts for several days after the birth; when she reappeared, her first tweet concerned the US Open, before she promoted the #handinhand hurricane relief efforts following the destruction caused by hurricanes Harvey and Irma.

Within 24 hours, Alexis Olympia Ohanian Jr. was introduced to the world.

Williams also published an Instagram story containing a series of videos documenting her journey through pregnancy and childbirth.

She revealed in one of the videos that there had been “a lot of complications.”
