It’s not often that women’s quarterfinals overshadow the men’s at a Grand Slam, but US Open 2017 has been anything but normal. The US public were enraptured by Sloane Stephens, Venus Williams and Saw Querrey gunning for semifinal spots on day nine, but it was the women who were in the spotlight.
