Rest or play? Enter or withdraw? On the eve of a Grand Slam tournament these are the big decisions the world’s best players face – and the outcome can cause havoc to your #FantasyTennis team.

The best tip we can give you for Game Week 20 is to be wary of finalising your team too early and to keep an eye on last-minute withdrawals.

All eyes on Eastbourne

A strong women’s field will compete in Eastbourne, headlined by world No.1 Angelique Kerber ($7.21m), world No.3 Karolina Pliskova ($9.1m) and former Wimbledon finalist Agnieszka Radwanska ($5.71m). Yet all were late withdrawals from Birmingham this week, so with injury clouds over their heads might not be your best options.

British hope Johanna Konta ($9.06m) brings good form to the event, having reached the Nottingham final last week. As does Jelena Ostapenko ($11m) in her first tournament since her stunning French Open triumph. The 20-year-old Latvian is a former Wimbledon junior finalist too, so is a proven grass court performer.

The ATP event in Eastbourne has attracted some big-serving players, led by last year’s Wimbledon quarterfinalist Sam Querrey ($7.48m) and ace machine John Isner ($8.71m).  If you were thinking about including them in your team, it is good to remember that aces earn valuable points.

Novak Djokovic ($14.19m) has unexpectedly taken a wildcard into the event too. The three-time Wimbledon champion does not typically play the week before a Grand Slam – but is clearly after match practice, which could potentially earn big points for your team.

Former Wimbledon semifinalist Richard Gasquet ($7.34) is showing improved form, making him a cost-efficient option.

Don’t overlook German veteran Florian Mayer ($2.72m) either. Despite his lower ranking, he is one of the best performed grass players in recent seasons.

Don’t forget about Antalya

World No.8 Dominic Thiem ($14.02m) headlines the inaugural ATP tournament in the Turkish city of Antalya. It is no secret that clay is the Austrian’s most preferred surface, but despite his early loss in Halle, he has won an ATP tournament on grass before so could be a good addition to your team.

#NextGen stars Borna Coric ($6.28m) and Karen Khachanov ($6.13m) could prove his biggest competitors, while experienced Fernando Verdasco ($6.41m) is worth considering too.
