Rafael Nadal has enjoyed a winning return to tennis after nearly three months on the sidelines.
Nadal brushed aside Tomas Berdych 6-0 6-4 at the Mubadala World Tennis Championship, an exhibition event in Abu Dhabi.
The event features six players all ranked in the top 12.
The Spaniard, who last played in early October before shutting down his season early due to ongoing wrist problems, said he was pleased with his performance.
“It was a great match because in all aspects I did well,” he said.
“Every shot with my forehand, I created something … that’s the way I need to play if I want to have success.”
