Although Roger Federer hasn’t been spotted on a tennis court in six months, he was winning titles in another arena.

Roger Federer has seen off all challengers to take out GQ Magazine’s Most Stylish Man of 2016 award.

The Swiss star, winner of 17 Grand Slam titles and widely lauded for his elegant play and style both on and off the court, won a fan vote to take out the title over Tom Hiddleston.

The competition worked by pitting “stylish men” against one another in a knockout draw – much like a tennis tournament.

Fans would vote for who they felt was the most stylish of the two; the victor would progress to the next round to take on another contender, and the voting process began again.

At the end of the competition, Federer and Hiddleston were undefeated and went head-to-head for the title.

Federer, thanks in part to a “very passionate fan base”, emerged the winner.
