The WTA Finals draw was set on Friday, but with one gaping hole. Should Svetlana win tomorrow’s Moscow final, she’ll take the eighth and final place in Singapore.

The WTA Finals draw ceremony was conducted in Singapore on Friday, yet one place in the field remains up for grabs.

Svetlana Kuznetsova could nab it if she beats Daria Gavrilova in Saturday’s Kremlin Cup final.

If she loses, it would go to Johanna Konta, who currently sits above Kuznetsova in the Road to Singapore standings.

The seven confirmed competitors – world No.1 Angelique Kerber, defending champ Agnieszka Radwanska, Simona Halep, Karolina Pliskova, Garbine Muguruza, Madison Keys and Dominika Cibulkova – assembled on Friday for the official photo shoot and draw ceremony.

They were placed into two four-player round-robin groups:

Cibulkova ?

Play begins on Sunday at the Singapore Indoor Stadium, with Halep facing Keys in the first match of the event followed by Kerber taking on Cibulkova.

On Monday, Radwanska will battle either Konta or Kuznetsova before Muguruza goes head-to-head with Pliskova.
