Why the return points matter

Conventional wisdom dictates that the serve is the most important part of a winning game. But analysis by the ATP and Infosys has shown that the return is increasingly important. In fact, the deeper into a game that a returner can go, the better the chance of winning it. That is perhaps why every player in the Top 10 has played more return than serve points.
