Martina Hingis and Sania Mirza, playing their first tournament with separate partners, will face off in the Cincinnati doubles final for sole ownership of the No.1 ranking.

In their first tournament after splitting, Martina Hingis and Sania Mirza will face off in the women’s doubles final in Cincinnati.

The winner will also claim the No.1 doubles ranking outright.

Having played together since March 2015, Hingis and Mirza are currently co-ranked No.1, with identical points tallies.

Hingis is now teaming with Coco Vandeweghe; she and the American arrived in the final after beating Julia Goerges and Karolina Pliskova in straight sets.

Mirza, partnering Czech Barbora Strycova, beat Chan sisters Yung-Jan and Hao-Ching 6-2 7-5 to advance.

It will be a dramatic finals day in Cincinnati, with Angelique Kerber also shooting for the No.1 singles ranking when she takes on Pliskova in the final.
