It is no secret that Rafael Nadal is a fan favourite – but it turns out former world No.1 Andre Agassi is one of his biggest supporters.

The eight-time Grand Slam champion has penned a handwritten letter of admiration to the Spanish player, describing his achievements as “remarkable”.

“You make me believe in life that anything is achievable and nothing is impossible,” Agassi scribes.

Agassi has posted the letter to the Nike store in Paris, which will display it during the French Open along with hundreds of other tributes to Nadal.

The display recognises Nadal’s attempt to win an unprecedented 10th Roland Garros men’s singles crown.
