Spain’s Lara Arruabarrena has been awarded a wildcard into next week’s Madrid Open – and with service tricks like this, it is no surprise:

“I just did it for fun,” Arruabarrena told wtatennis.com. “I had never done such a thing, you know, first touching the ball with my foot to hit a serve.”
The world No.76 explained a friend challenged her to attempt it after seeing it done on Instagram.
“Can you imagine I did this in a match? I don’t think I can,” Arruabarrena laughed.
The Madrid Open announced Arruabarrena as one of its main draw wildcards today, along with Romanian Sorana Cirstea and fellow Spanish players Sara Sorribes Tormo, Paula Badosa Gibert and Lourdes Dominguez Lino.
Men’s singles wildcard receipents are Spanish trio Fernando Verdasco, Nicolas Almagro, Pablo Carreno Busta and Argentinean Juan Monaco.
