Those lazy days at the start of a tournament week are always mixed affairs. A few seeds make fleeting appearances as they (often) dismantle plucky qualifiers in a smattering of minutes, while lower-ranked players vie for a shot at an elusive Wednesday billing.
Strangely, there were no photos floating around from any tournament other than Stuttgart today. However, when Ana Ivanovic, Petra Kvitova and Camila Giorgi make an appearance, you know you’re on to a good thing.
