On Wednesday at the Monte Carlo Rolex Masters, unseeded Czech Jiri Vesely stunned dominant world No.1 Novak Djokovic in the second round.

The defeat was Vesely’s first career top 10 win and marked the earliest exit for Djokovic – the defending champion and two-time winner in Monte Carlo – at a tournament in three years.

Djokovic, who had won nine of his past 10 tournaments, had not lost to a player ranked outside the world’s top 50 since 2010.
