It was just her third ever win, and first since 1996. Check out her career playing activity – it makes for some interesting reading.
Next up for Falkenberg is Taylor Townsend, the prodigal American who reached the third round at Roland Garros as an 18-year-old in 2004 and was in early 2015 ranked inside the top 100.
Gail Falkenberg, 69, won her first Alabama qualifying match over a 22-y.o. snapping a 32-match losing streak (only thrice winning 3+ games).

Keep in mind, when watching, that THIS IS AN OFFICIALLY-SANCTIONED, PROFESSIONAL TENNIS MATCH.
