That was this weekend in social media

Novak Djokovic headlines the weekend in social
We wrap up the best of this weekend’s action from social media.

Tournaments end, others begin but the world of social media rolls effortlessly. We’ve taken a quick wander through the murky depths of Twitter, Facebook and Instagram to find out who was saying what about whom (or just posting shameless selfies).

First up, though, props to Nick Kyrgios who secured his first ATP title in Marseille:

You never know the true value of a moment, until it becomes a memory. #thankyouMarseille #1 #jumpman #teamKyrgios

Best bud Thanasi Kokkinakis summed up the thoughts of plenty of his fellow pros following the win:

Francesca Schiavone (yep, she’s still ripping up clay courts around the world) won her first title in ages at Rio. Rather than bathing in social glory, though, she left that to Flavia Pennetta:

Away from the tennis court, Novak Djokovic went for a swim

So did Serena

Wakey Serena.

…who then went dancing:

Borna Coric went skipping:

Vika Azarenka went running… backwards:

And Angie Kerber arrived in Doha:

Then it was on to the serious business of partying (which is, obviously, preceded by the even seriouser business of taking selfies):

You get the idea.

The tennis world cheered when Delpo made his long-awaited comeback at Delray Beach, and the big guy was happy with how it went:

It was an emotional weekend for Dmitry Tursunov as he waited to see whether he would make it into Acapulco. First came the lows:

Then the highs:

But like all the greatest grand cosmic ironies we should end where we began. And so we find ourselves back with Nick Kyrgios who celebrated his maiden ATP title by jumping on a plane and jetting off to Dubai:
