Were you one of the 7,512 people who chose Roger Federer at the start of the fantasytennisleague.com season? If so, you’ve got an extra $3m to play with following the price re-adjustment after Australian Open 2017.
Similarly, if you were one of the 6,700 people who chose Novak Djokovic at the start of the game then hard luck – his value dropped the most of any player in the first two weeks ($-1.42m).
Player values are re-calculated after every fantasytennisleague.com game week. The players who exceed their statistical expectations (worked out over results from the past few years) will see their values increase. Meanwhile, the players who perform below expectations will lose value.

These price changes are then either added (if your player values increase) or removed (if they decrease) from your overall team budget.
Confused? Don’t be. As an example, if you spent all of your $100m before the game started and Roger Federer is in your team, you now have $103m to play with. Likewise, if Novak was in your team then after the price recalculation you have $98.58m to play with.
The key now is to buy and sell intelligently. If you think that Roger might not play for a while, then trade him for another player who will score points in the coming weeks (you can always buy him back later). If you think Novak is going to have a bad year, then sell him before his value drops (or hold on to him if you think he’s going to get better).
